idea behind shadow photograph

Since I wanted to focus on identity and we were given a task to develop initial ideas using shadows I thought I would combine the two for 1 image. I liked the idea of a shadow being anonymous and therefore mixing it with the idea of individual identity just worked. My aim was to convey that it doesn't matter what your appearance or background is within skate subculture as we are all united under one activity and specialist interest. The one thing I love about skate culture and youth culture as a whole is that everyone is so different and unique. This is a step into the right direction I think for my FMP.
